Here's Under the Great Mushroom (sounds like a song title, don't you think?).

It represents the idea that we all live in a continous period of war, in which everyone has a role: there're soldiers, civilians and gunsmiths. 

In short, everyone faces the war in his own way and so artists who try to emerge and propose the best.

China 17 takes a break - again - to enjoy the summer at his villa at the seaside. I'll be back in October to share with you many new drawings. I don't rule out joining on Youtube (China 17 videos? We'll see ...). For now there are many ideas about what to do, but many works are ready and waiting to be published. Let's take the time to rest our minds; the event is only postponed ... in October, don't forget it.

Since the last time I talked about them on this blog, Wonder Vincent have done many great things, including the release of their last work, The amazing story of Roller Kostner, a concept album about the absurd which tells the story of ... Oh What the Hell! You know what? Go to this link and discover it yourself! Who's RK?
The album was first available in digital download and then in CDs. For sponsoring the event, the four holy bastards mentioned above have realized, thanks to madDiamond Graphics, this poster using my illustration. So proud!

However, the interstellar laws require me to mention RHAB (RhabArtworks facebook) as "inspirer of the work title" even though he hates me because recently I paint too much with Photoshop.

Gretchen Dynamite

No need to say much about Napoleon Dynamite, a 2004 movie directed by Jared Hess, which tells the adventures of a young outsider named Napoleon (Jon Heder) and his particular friends.

A generational cult and a character already become icon.
Instead I want to spend a few words about "Who is Gretchen Insomniac?"
Gretchen Insomniac (Gretchen Insomniac facebook), aka Antonio Preziosi, is an italian Mc / Rapper divided between Avellino and Rome, "an outsider armed with microphone and Snapback" who sings about friendship, fears, past and inner growth without reaching a compromise. His influences are Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, Joy Division, Sangue Misto as well as directors like W. Anderson, Kevin Smith, Mario Monicelli and C. Nolan
In accordance with his real outsider spirit, Gretchen asked me to make him a portrait/caricature in the role of Napoleon and I was very glad to do it.

Wonder Vincent have posted on their YouTube channel the video from their first single, My Little Bunny, taken from their upcoming LP. Inspired by the music and lyrics, I created an illustration for the series Animalo wich depicts my interpretation of Bunny, the main character of this song.

It all starts with a joke.
One morning I woke up at 8:30 to eat breakfast and then go back to bed. I got up at 11:30, persuaded that I had slept only about ten minutes. Ironically I thought I had traveled through time. But this picture also speaks about love.
